Shoulders Full of People (2024)
WestFest Dance Festival, April 2024

There is a woman whose day is monotony; whose phone rings seldom, and when it does, it comes with little surprise.
Whose refrigerator looks the same.
Who hangs the clothes on the line.

Then, there is a council. The elders. The countless micro-angels who are there with her, too. Despite - even because of - her routine.

Her shoulders are full of people.

Performance: Alisya Razman Adam, Jackie Dodds, Jayde Margulis, Kalyan Sayre, Macie Harris, Quetzali Hart, Stella Jacobs, Rachael Lieblein-Jurbala

Music: “Muse” by Nicolas Jaar; “Sun” by Hania Rani
