about the company

Picture
Rachael Lieblein-Jurbala Dance Works has been creating and presenting narrative-driven, humanistic dances in New York City since 2019. We strive to make dances that are universally relatable, exploring themes from obedience and conflict to grief, lineage and connection. Rooted in storytelling, our work aims to carry viewers through episodic narratives from point A to point B, visually and viscerally.

Our process sources input from audiences: collecting voicemails, family stories, and participatory elements that invite community into the process.

support our work!

If someone turns to a friend or asks themselves a question after a performance, we’ve done our job. It’s about flexing the reflection muscle, which we believe is, over time, strength-training for the empathy muscle.

By supporting our work, you help sustain this creative process. Every donation helps pay dancers, rent rehearsal space, and bring new work to life
