Shells (2019)
Connecticut College (March, 2019)

“Shells” is a response to perpetual, mundane violence. A quartet moves together in cathartic mourning through rubble. As they remove debris, more slowly but steadily accumulates. An unending, generational cycle is lived.

Performers: Emma Benington, Kaya Blumenthal-Rothschild, Rachael Lieblein-Jurbala, Mara Senecal-Albrecht

Music: "Capricho árabe", composed by Francisco Tárrega

Lighting Design: Owen Sagerman
